Every Saturday morning at ten o'clock until 11:30 the doors of Asambleja Biblike
are opened for all children from ages 5-12. During that time, children can
participate in activities such as listening to a Bible story, singing songs, playing
games, memorizing Scriptures, eating snacks and making crafts.
For the past couple of months, the main emphasis of these meetings have been
on “The Life of Christ”. The children are receiving a biblically based knowledge of
who Jesus Christ is and how to put one's faith in Him. Beginning with the story of
His birth, the children were taught that Jesus is God and the aspects of the trinity.
They also learned that he was without sin, that He could do miracles no one else
could do. He is the only one who could die on the cross for our sins. Every week
the children are reminded of their need for Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and
Savior and are challenged to put their faith in Him. Many of the children who attend
these meetings have not yet made professions of faith.
The series on “The Life of Christ” is for a session of 25 weeks. During this time
period, the children are receiving “points” for memorizing bible verses each week.
At the end of the session the children who have won enough “points” will receive a
gift. Also, the children who have attended the children's meetings regularly will
receive a certificate stating that they have completed the series on “The Life of
Christ”.
Asambleja Biblike began a special teenage group this past summer which takes
place every Sunday afternoon. The children who had been in the children's
meetings for years have now “graduated” into the teenage group. The teenagers
are now studying the aspects of the Christian life; being a new creation in Christ,
crucifying the old self, dealing with self control and many other practical issues.
The teenage group also enjoys organized activities and excursions.
